  The mission of the Detroit Conference United Methodist Outdoor and Retreat Ministries is to extend, enhance and enable our congregations in the task of making disciples of Jesus Christ.  Our focus is providing and marketing quality year round camp and retreat facilities and programs that offer and promote Christian faith for people of diverse backgrounds and ages.

Grand Camp: A grandparent/grandchild camp Judson Collins Center
Grades K-4.
“Grandchildren are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation.”  Experience camp with your grandchild and energize your relationship with God. Create memories as you learn new songs, worship, play games, study the Bible, make crafts, swim, and laugh. Counselors will be on hand throughout this three-day/two-night event to provide age specific activities for you and your grandchild.  1 T-shirt per person/1 DVD per family. Cost: $175. (One adult/one child. Additional person $80)

Trekkers Judson Collins Center
Grades 3-5. There is never a dull moment with the Trekkers. Each day is jam packed with exciting activities designed especially for the Trekkers.  Some of the group activities for Trekkers include home-in-the-woods, bridge hike, swamp walk, animal exploration, homemade pizza and other cookouts, polar bear swim, canoe to the state park, water carnival, initiative games, crafts, farm class, wagon ride, and archery. Cost:  $325.

Trekkers plus Farm Camp Judson Collins Center
Grades 3-5.
While living at the Judson Collins farm, you will have a chance to learn the love of labor while caring for God’s creation as you experience life as a farmer for a week. You will have a hand in feeding, grooming, and caring for the animals, tending the garden, and bringing in the hay for our Belgian horses. Cost: $335

Water Games Camp Kinawind
Grades 3-6.
Wade in and join us for a week focusing on water and water activities: in the water, on the water and around the water! You will have a wet and wild time with activities and games which could include swimming, boating, and water games, just to name a few. Soak your spirit with Bible study, discussion groups, campfires, games and other traditional camp activities. Come join us for waves of fun! Cost: $329

Woods Camp Kinawind
Grades 3-6.
Take on the challenge, adventure, and fun of learning how to cook over a fire, build a home in the woods, canoe, and much more, all the while learning how to live as a Christian in your own family group. Your group will get to choose from options such as boating, hiking, extra swims, and low ropes challenge course activities. Cost: $329

Pioneer Camp Kinawind
Grades 3-6.
Have you ever wanted to be a pioneer like Johnny Appleseed or Davy Crocket? At Pioneer Camp you will learn about the pioneer days while participating in pioneer games and crafts! And, as the pioneers did, you also may take part in swimming, boating, hiking, cooking over a fire and other woods camp activities. Includes day trip to Hartwick Pines State Park. Cost: $342.
